i think pac's rep is degrading i mean his last few cd's haven't sold that great and their's still all these questions surrounding his death...i htink ppl are getting tired of hearing this shit? feed back ya'll

Hi,
I don’t think that’s true at all. And although the albums have not sold as well as we expected that does not mean people are fed up with Pac's material, not the hard fans anyway. All the questions surrounding his death are to be expected and in a way it makes Pac that bit more special, not cuz he is dead tho! just because there is so much information, missing pieces of the puzzle, all the material of music that keeps coming it all adds to the things we love about Pac because we enjoy studying his life, music, poetry and yes when you start learning about Pac’s death you start getting all detective like! (well I did when I started), wanted to find out everything I could and I still do that, his life was interesting, he was interesting and I’ll never get tired of learning and listening to a man who has made such a difference to my life and to so many people, women and children.
If Pac was alive today and his next single release was a cover version of the 'Hokey Cokey' I’d still buy it and it would be worth every penny.

i think his popularity is starting to decline, but i think thats because all the people who were teens when pac was alive, and at his prime, are growing older, and people my age- high schoolers- are listening more to all the comercial rappers

I would have to disagree. I am 18, and when pac died 7 years ago i would have been in elementry. Now that i am almost done skool, alot more people listen to Pac. We love all of Pac's stuff. But that is just an example to me of how it has become more popular. also the reason why albums haven't been selling as well is becuase cd burners, were scars back in Pac's life. Everyone who is still famous will likely have a drop in record sales, due to CD burners! but Pacs CD's are worth every penny, everyone song is good!!!! peace out!

if anything i think Pac is getting popular after his death, because the question about his death keeps coming up and people get interested on that topic and would start to listen to his music for clues and such. Like shuvit said with today's technology (cd burners, file sharing) it's no surprise that 2pac's record sales are dropping i think anybodies record sales (that are good) would drop. And maybe just maybe people now - a -days got lost in today's so called rap music, like ja-rule and others which they spend more time listening to there songs instead listening to REAL rap music!!! But everybody needs to buy 2pac music so that we can back up the statement that he is the greatest of all time.

I think Pacsgirl is right about his popularity. I'm amazed that he still gets more popular by the year. And I think that a lot of cats are copying and d/loading his shit these days but that isn't accounted for in the sales figures nah mean? Especially the younger fans who have been brought up on computers and know what to do with them!

NEW people are feelin pacs new and old music ever day.
pacs new stuff isnt sellin that well cause of poor promotion....i promote pac more then afeni does....she should be on 2paclegacy every day !!
i no it sounds corny but people will always feel pac. He had the unique talent of his music not becoming dated.....california love...dear mama....how long will they mourn me..would all b hits released 5 years ago or relased 2day.

i think that people are just downloading his music man, i mean if u heard one good song 6 years ago, YOU HAD, i repeat YOU HAD to go out and buy it to listen to it, heck if ya hear another good song from that same person u'll have to go out and you'll probably buy the dam album!!!! These days its the downloading that makes Pac sales less than what they should be man!!!!

Look people, Pac is as popular as ever. I consider anyone who says otherwise to be either paranoid or a hater. Look at all the rappers who are mentioning his name in songs. Look at how even eastcoast rappers are using his verses in their songs. Did this happen at any time before? NO! Pac's legacy is growing and he is now widely considered the greatest of all time or at least in the top five of everyone's lists.
I don't know where you guys are coming from with this. If you guys are only going on sales, then that is straight b.s.. No one is really selling right now. The only artists selling huge numbers are 50, Eminem and Nelly. Jay-Z and Nas do the same numbers as Pac and they are alive, able to promote their records and suffer less from people downloading their records. Gimme a Break guys.

MENACE, that was a stupid statement that you made: "When you're selling nine million cds and are now only selling one." You are paranoid man.
No one is selling alot dude. Did you read my prior post? I am not going to repeat myself. Anyway, Pac sold 9 million albums after death because the cd was a compilation cd of his greatest hits. That means, casual fans purchased the cd. When a man is dead and unable to promote his cd, usually the hard core fans are going to be the ones who buy it.
People like you always want to see the doom and gloom of situations. You are dead wrong with this and anyone else who says what you said is also dead wrong. Elvis brought out a cd and it went double platinum too. What's your point? Do you think Elvis is any less popular. You people harp too much on sales. Maybe you should look at the impact that Pac is having on today's MCs. To me, you all have tunnel vision and it's wearing a bit thin now.
