Never look into my eyes If all you’re going to do is lie. Never hold me in your arms If all you can do harm. With my emotions you played Why did I stay? That night you hurt me Why did you have to take my virginity? I trusted you I thought your love was true. You threw me down in the dirt Then you began to rip off my shirt. You used me not just once but twice I didn’t think I was going to survive. You got up and looked into my eyes I just wanted to roll up and hide. You told me it was all my fault My love for you was put to a halt. That night I died My love lied. Sometime later I realized That I didn’t have to hide. I didn’t let the memories reside Now I will survive.

Very sad girl, very sad... I'm so very sorry for what happened, so not right. Excellent writing though, can obviously see you put all your heart, soul, & mind into the whole piece.. Just so very sad & so not fair what happens in this world. Be Safe & keep fighting.. Never give up. Peace

Thank you for your reply. IF only You knew how much it means to me to know that people care. Not all of this world is bad and it took me a long time to realize that and to move on. I wrote this poem to let people who have gone through what I have that if I can survive so can they. I will never give up the fight agaist people who do those type of things. I hope that if this has happened to someone that reads this they will realize that they to can survive. And I also wanted to tell those people that if they haven't told anyone about what happened to them for any reason they need to get it off their chest and tell someone they trust so they can move on with their lives. Emi, thanks for posting a reply. I've read your poems and I feel the same way. I wrote this poem about a year ago but I posted it because, I wanted you and others who have gone through what we have to read it. In some of your poems you talk about the hurt and what it's done to you and I want you and everyone out there to know that if I can survive you guys can too. ok the poems good needs a little more format but excellnt power and feeling.u must realise that this critic probably didnt have a clue of the feeling and street sense it took for u,=ur pain.maybe it couldnt relate to what u went thru,but dont give up by no-means u have the heart and the ability to be and do what ever u want.honestly!just maybe try and write more about things all socalites can relate to,its definately there loss,but u will never convince them of this ..good luck,and keep it up.i hope i help u somewhat,there r alot of good good writers in this forum,but u might want to check wit emi,cuz she has great discernment in all matters.. also phfo and alot others but try emi.

FJT150, Thanks so much for your support. You taking your time to talk to me to help me get over that stupid a$$ on the web site means so much to me. I write about the things that my heart are thinking about and feeling so most of my poetry is about me and people who have gone through the same things as I. I do write about other things for everyone. I wrote this poem because even though it's over with and I've moved on it still effects me and my life. Anyone who has ever been raped knows that even when you get over it it effects who you are. How it effects me is I have to tell people like my boyfriend about it so they know that if for some reason I act strange about something they know why. Another way it effects me is I know what it's like and I don't ever want anyone to have to go through it so I talk to people about awareness and what it does to some people. The way it effects me the most is that the person didn't even get sent to jail because, the court said that the sex was agreed to since he was my boyfriend. That is not true. I have read some of emi's poem and I agree with you. Shawntae

that's excelent, why should you care about what a hater said?! i'm so feeling you. i loved the way u wrote becuz you really make the reader feel what u're expressing in ur poem.. u make'im feel the tragedy, sadness and all.. u really put ur soul in this poem. don't stop!

thug playa, I do and I don't care what the hater said in a way. I do because the people that read that poem will see what the hater wrote and unfairly judge me instead of truly saying what they think.
