2.Jay-Z's comeback/finale
Posted by Kable on 5/21/2003 3:48:37 AM
I know im posted this on a board that hates jay, but Jay was great back in the day when he first released Reasonable Doubt, and Vol. 1-In My Lifetime, before he turned wack, releasing albums with a good song here and there, and just total filler.

Jay announced that he will be retiring after his next album (The Black Album) awhile back. In the last weeks, jay has been releasing information about this. He said that he wants to come out, just like he came in. On a lyrical ...

Reasonable Doubt and Vol. 1-In My Lifetime were both tight albums. Then he slowly fell off with each one to what he is today. What a shame Smiley

Some very good observations here, but drew is right, pac didnt make an appearance in the video, so it could always be suge throwing out clues for no reason again.

"Revenge has a funny, funny was of settelin the score, and when it happens, you will know."

Thats a quote from the video. I am really starting to beleive that this is in fact aimed towared biggie. I never looked at it that way. Now there are 3 of them in the video, and when the lightngiht ...

Thats no why they say it...lol, that saying has been around forever....

And I have found that hella more people are familiar with changes and hail mary than any other song.

I would lay down my life savings that if i quoted went around quoting changes, and then keep ya head up more people would recognize changes.

At least once a week i would hear people goin "I see no changes, all i see is racist faces, misplaced hate etc etc etc", than "some say the blacker the berry the sweeter the juice, i say the darker the skin and the deeper the roots".

Same with hail mary.

But still, changes is more ...

Im not sayin dissin pac after he died is right. Cuz it isnt at all. But Biggie did it pretty lightly. In a song or 2 isnt much. Chino XL's done that shit about 10 times since pac died, and aint even tried to hide it. But Biggie's dead too, and prolly cuz suge's bitch ass. Why dont we just let big RIP.

Kable how do you see Long kiss goodnight???
----------------------------------------------------------

Ive always thought long kiss goodnight was a dope song, and im not ganna change my opinion about it because of a few subliminal lines. But, yeah, big did have beef with pac, and pac beef with big. And yeah, it would be wrong of him to diss pac after he was dead, but the question is when he wrote it. Not when he recorded it even, when he wrote it. If your ganna hate ...

Thats not what i meant. Whatever guy, ill just shutup now so i dont start nothin. ill just state my opinon on the matter and jump out, since theres no use arguin.

Their both dead. Pac was the greatest rapper of all time. Big was a far second. Pac was a deep lyricist, big was an emcee. Pac dissed big, big prolly dissed pac back. I unno when, i unno what was said or what he meant by it, but it probably happened. Both of em got shot and it was a tragic thing. Rap would be alot ...

k, my next question is, do you think the song playa hata (the one biggie actually sings in), do you think it was a reference to the 1994 shooting?

Good evening
And for my last hit
I'd like to take you back to the classic
A-hem, B.I.G. style of course
Uhh

*singing*
Playaahh, turn your head round
Lay on the ground, you've been robbed
Wake up, open the door

[Puff Daddy]
Mmmmmmmmm-HMM
See.. {*echoes*}
I told you.. {*echoes*}

[Puff] See, I told y'all muh'fuckers
[Big] Yo yo.. that stupid nigga man
[Puff] I told y'all to stop!
