Interview with Mopreme

Sunday, January 21st @ 8pm ET

I was fortunate enough to get an interview with Mopreme aka Komeni, former Thug Life and Outlaw Immortal member.  He called me up for the scheduled interview and we talked for about 8-10 minutes.  Anyway, once again, thanks Mopreme for taking the time.  As of now however, Mopreme is signed to Status Records, an independent California-based label.  I contacted Mopreme's record label a month before to schedule an interview.  He told me his time was limited but today would be good for him.  So I was ok with it as well.  Check out the interview below:

Mopreme:
What's up man?

MadeNiggaz.net: What's up?

mnn: So you're with Status Records now right?

mo: Yeah

mnn: Aight, and how'd you hook up with them?

mo:
Well, I hollered at the owner on some street shit... you know.. And we just took it from there, I got on some independent shit.

mnn: Ok, and are you gonna put an album out anytime soon?

mo: Yeah no doubt... I got an album comin out real soon. I'm just about to be gettin the singles out to the stores and shit.

mnn: We'll look for that. Also, about a year ago or so, I heard rumors of a thug life volume 2 possibly happening.. What's up with that?

mo: Yeah, me and Big Syke were ready to do that shit, it was just a problem gettin rated and mac together.

mnn:
Oh yeah, speaking of rated r, last I heard he was locked down, any truth to that shit?

mo:
Yeah, he had some technical difficulties.

mnn:
lol

mo:
But ya know he was on tour with Coolio and them niggaz a while back

mnn:
Aight, well how did 2pac's death affect you personally?

mo:
It affects me everyday. I'll always be affected by his death.

mnn:
No doubt, do you still keep in contact with the Outlawz or Thug Life members?

mo:
Yeah no doubt, it's a fam. We're always be united. I'm sittin here wearin an outlawz shirt right now.

mnn:
So are you gonna be on any of the next outlawz albums?

mo:
Am I gonna what?

mnn:
Are you gonna be involved in any future Outlawz or 2pac projects?

mo:
Oh, yeah for sure. Edi and Kastro got some shit they're workin on, some solo shit.. And I'll be workin on that, and also noble is workin on a solo joint I'll be there, it's a family..

mnn:
Aight, when was the last time you spoke to Afeni and how do you feel she's handling pac's work?

mo:
What?

mnn:
What are your feelings on how Afeni has been handling 2pac's work since he's passed?

mo: Oh.. well.. I think she's doing a great job. She's doin some great things, like the poetry album, not many people would be able to see how great of a talent he was, a poet if it weren't for that.

mnn:
Alright, that's all the questions I got, thanks for takin the time man..

mo:
No problem.

mnn:
Peace

mo:
