Busta Rhymes & Xzibit Guest Appearances |
West Coast hip-hop act Tha Liks formerly Tha Alkaholiks are set to release their fourth album this spring on Loud Records. Titled “X.O.,” the set features guest appearances from labelmate Xzibit, King Tee, Kurupt, and Busta Rhymes.
Liks’ member E-Swift handles the production duties for most of the album, but received assistance from the Neptunes, Rockwilder, and DJ Twinz. The Rockwilder-helmed “Run Wild” is slated as the first single.
Tha Liks first came to public attention in 1993 after a guest stint on King Tee's single “Got It Bad Y’All” and via their own hit single “Likwit/Only When I’m Drunk,” from their debut album “21 & Over.” The group’s last album, 1997’s “Likwidation,” debuted at number 15 on Billboard’s Top R&B;/Hip-Hop Albums Chart, and has sold 130,000 copies in the U.S., according to SoundScan.
Tha Liks recently collaborated with Sugar Ray on a reworking of the group’s 1993 single “Make Room” for last year’s Loud Records hip-hop/rock fusion set “Loud Rocks.”
